Frequently Asked Questions

  • We’ve worked hard to make the upfront cost low so that it’s easier to try out without much investment. Rather than burning ourselves out in endless calls and emails, we’ve found a more sustainable way through our application process which includes the Get Acquainted Call for any remaining questions you might have.

  • Commitment to a support pod is month to month. After the month is paid for it is non-refundable. However, you can cancel for future months at any time prior to the 1st of that month.

  • No, this is an out of pocket service.

  • Payment is due at the first of the month or at the sign-up for your first pod. It is a recurring payment based on a subscription month to month service. Any cancellations need to be made prior to the start of the month in order to avoid charges. You can manage your subscription directly through your login once you have joined.

  • Yes, individual sessions are available for those who would like to go this route. Individual sessions or Evaluations can be booked directly through the links on our Individual Services page.

  • Our application process should help clear this up. But if you’re still feeling unsure, it’s only a one month commitment once you sign up.

Trying out a Support Pod, our Sensory Screener or Basics Course (coming soon) are great ways to feel things out if you’d like before booking an individual service.

  • No, we no longer offer a sliding scale. Our Support Pods are a low cost alternative to our individual services and have limited spots at a reduced price for those who qualify based on need (you can note your interest in this on the initial inquiry form).

  • No, an autism diagnosis is not required. Those who self-identify as autistic or are exploring autistic identity are welcome.

While we focus primarily on autistic individuals, those who identify with other areas of neurodivergence are welcome to apply.

  • When you submit your application form you can specify your preference on groupings. We do our best to group people generally by age/life stage, with teen groups matched closer in age than adults.

  • Many autistic people have been in groups before and felt like it wasn’t a great fit. Our groups are different- they have been created specifically for autistic individuals. We invite you to show up as you are and however you need to show up that day. Whether you want to share, just observe, or simply need to just BE.

  • Members will never be expected or pressured to talk or share in the group. Our priority is in creating a safe space for you to show up however you need without expectations. Pods may engage more verbally one day, and another day be more of a body doubling space, depending on what group members need.

  • We offer both in-person and virtual support pods. Our in-person pods take place in our location near the Plaza Midwood neighborhood of Charlotte.

  • We like to keep our pods relatively small with a max of 7 people.

  • We will do our best to offer a variety of times, but in general, pods meet during typical working hours sometime between 9-6 M-F. Teen pods meet late afternoon to decrease conflict with school hours.

Pods will generally meet on consistent times and days of the week with occasional exceptions due to holidays and vacations.
